I feel like I should've just stop watching the episode before the finale of season 4 □ I still very much enjoyed the show, at least up to season 4.NAMILCO’s Affeeze Khan hands over the cash prize and trophy to this New Amsterdam Secondary School Teacher in the presence of his winning team. I just feel like setting up that romance after Shape in the final season doesn't live up to the epicness this show was in the beginning. I love Dr Wilder and thinks she's incredible. They wrote her into a stroke, and rehabilitation phase, in which Max stayed loving and supportive, but Helen still can't build trust in Max? I find it so weird that her character doesn't have any emotional and psychological growth to the point of breaking off her truest love and abandoning poor baby Luna. I'm disappointed that the writing didn't allow Sharpe's character to grow and deal with her childhood trauma and identity crisis in a healthier way. Helen literally tried to break up with him the same night they got together. However, the minute they got together I started fearing for Max's heart. I was always hoping she did it because none of these men were Max, the one she really wanted. Helen has been a heartbreaker, ending all her romantic relationships with lane reasons. Throughout the seasons, you could feel deep genuine love between the two of them. I lived for Max and Sharpe, and I'm so disappointed they don't end up together. It started so great and was so engaging, then the storylines got a little convoluted. I can't blame NBC for cancelling the show after 5 seasons, I can blame them for not doing that after the 2nd season. However, the politics ruined the series, and I'm not sure if it's on purpose, or it's just something that happened by accident, and no one were there to stop the destruction of this great show. I loved Vijay Kapoor and I loved Iggy, I also loved Max and Helen. I loved the old New Amsterdam, up to season 2. Fuentes, which leads her to quit her position after many workers began to protest against her under the building - this was super unreliable - Who quits because of a protest? especially that quick?) Accusing the "Anti-Vaxxers" for worsening the "pandemic" and almost for everything, Max trying to vaccinate every person even without caring for the reason why they don't want to until he finds out that even his own colleagues don't want to take the vaccine, lots of gender-related parts (Brunstetter transitioned from "she" to "he" and now insists that anyone will call him "he" instead of "she"), Lots of criticism on Capitalism and encouraging Socialism and Communism ("the Resistance of New Amsterdam" against the new medical director, Dr. However, at the COVID season (Season 3) the show became more and more political. (Watch out, spoilers:) The devastating car accident at the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2, Heartbreaking situations and dilemmas - and above all, an angel doctor who would do EVERYTHING for his patience. The 1st and the 2nd seasons of New Amsterdam were more than worth watching. ![]()
